We need petition Signatures!

The Texas Education Code (section 13.051) allows for affected registered voters to petition to change from one school district to another. The code states that we must have a majority of the signatures of all registered voters in the affected area and state the boundaries to be affected.

We are actively soliciting volunteers to help drive the petitions to your neighbors. Once collected they will be submitted to both school systems as well as the state senators and representatives in our area.

Here’s how we can accomplish this:

• Familiarize yourself with the FAQs before you begin to ask your neighbors to sign a petition.
• Notify all your friends about this website
• Get involved in the discussion forums
• Download this petition and sign it, give it to friends, forward it and distribute it
• Click here for the petition
• Send completed petitions to petition@wearefrisco.org or via FAX to 972-852-9044
• RETAIN THE ORIGINAL SIGNED PETITION AND IDENTIFY YOURSELF in case we need the originals at a later date
• This is not an HOA initiative, we need signatures from ALL registered voters, not just one per household.

We have collected over 2800 signatures!

We have the required signatures – and MANY more! 

Our legal team informs us that, once the petitions are submitted, there is a three year time limit on a resubmission in the event we are not successful. This makes success paramount and speed less relevant. 

We haven’t published all that we are doing as the process is a bit tedious and we have several strategies working at any given time. We want to thank all of the residents of the area for helping us to get to this point so quickly. We honestly didn’t think we would be where we are today.

We can make a difference in our kids lives more immediately by showing up at the ballot box.
