Our primary goal is to bring an end to the community and economic disenfranchisement we suffer as a result of our Lewisville ISD status. The organization is guided by a Leadership Team comprised of residents from each neighborhood in The Swath, but the strength of the organization lies in the actions of its’ members and supporters.
Who is WeAreFrisco.org?
No. WeAreFrisco.org is unique in its composition. We do not have a bank account,
do not accept donations and have no IRS designation. The organization’s website

Having heard and had enough, WeAreFrisco is founded by Heritage Lakes residents, Dudley & Fran Wilson and Alvin Huerta. The defeat of Part II of LISD’s gigantic, tax increasing, bond package was the first of many WeAreFrisco successes.
Why did WeAreFrisco.org form?
No. In spite of “vocal minority” public comments to the contrary, WeAreFrisco.org has never disparaged the overall quality of education our children receive from Lewisville ISD educators and we challenge any of our “naysayers” to prove otherwise.
WeAreFrisco does have issues with the wasteful tax and spend history of the district and with the under performing and under serviced high school we were slated to feed into, The Colony High School. Ultimately, it is simply a matter of community and economic disenfranchisement.

Initially, WeAreFrisco.org set out to accomplish its’ primary goal of redistricting
to Frisco ISD by means of a petition submission as provided by Section 13.051 of
the Texas Education Code. As a result of The Swath providing a disproportionate
amount of tax dollars in comparison to the numbers of students enrolled we were not
going to qualify under one of the mathematical metrics of the code. The focus then
shifted to engaging public officials to further our agenda, starting with the Lewsiville
ISD Board of Trustees and continuing with ensuring all our elected officials hear
our voice. Towards that end, we are committed to engaging all resources and pursing
all avenues until we gain the ability to attend an “Exemplary” school district in

WeAreFrisco members support, endorse and vote for elected officials who are receptive to our issues. WeAreFrisco voters have shown with each passing election our philosophy is closely held by the majority residents in Frisco’s portion of Lewisville ISD.
How will WeAreFrisco.org accomplish its’ goals?
No. There are many families comfortable with the community and economic situation Lewisville ISD provides and their right to do so is greatly respected. However, voting statistics prove with each passing election since WeAreFrisco’s inception that our supporters are unequivocally the majority. And, the last time we checked, it was still majority rule in the land of the free and home of the brave so we refuse to pander to the vocal minority who claim superiority in unfounded rants but prove nothing. All facts presented by WeAreFrisco are always researched and sourced.
As evidenced by the results of Lewisville ISD’s September 2010 tax ratification election, The Swath is comprised of predominantly of voters with conservative values. School choice is a primary plank of a conservative platform.
Does everyone in The Swath support WeAreFrisco?
